Current Lipstick Favourite

I go through lipsticks more than I do socks in a week. I am always wearing different colours/shades and trying new ones as soon as they come out. Look in the bottom of my bag and you would find at least 7 i'm positive.

The other day I decided I wanted to go and buy myself a new lipstick and in the end after much deliberation I decided to try a "TopShop Lip Bullet" in the shade Heartbeat. Topshop make-up was a brand I used to use a lot when I first began to wear make-up when it came to lipstick, a few years back as it was recommend by quite a few people but over time I forgot about it and all my old favourites such as Brighton Rock had been pushed to the back of my drawer. But now my love for TopShop lipstick is very much back after trying this lip bullet. I have been wearing this consistently ever since I bought it which is unusual for me because I tend to wear a different lipstick everyday.

Reasons to love this lipstick

♥ It's really easy to apply and doesn't smudge easily
♥ It has a high pigmentation which is easily bulidable and has amazing staying power
♥ The colour is just beautiful ( With a touch a coral it is a very red apple shade) and perfect for this time of year (coming into spring) and will suit most skin tones
♥ Even when it has worn off it still leaves, a gorgeous slight red stain on your lips
♥ It can be worn during the day to brighten up any outfit but is also great to wear on a date night or any other occassion.
♥ Very nourishing and soft on the lips

Old Favourites, New Loves..

The other day I decided to have a good old rummage through my make up drawer because its getting to that time of year where nights are getting lighter and you have to put away all the dark red and purple lipsticks sigh:( Anyhow whilst doing this I found so many make-up products that I used to swear by and love but somehow ended up neglecting over time. Therefore I thought i'd share with you a couple of the products that I've pulled back out the drawer and can't wait to use again! 

                                          

 The first product I found was the "Brow Zings-Brow Shaping Kit by Benefit". As you can probably tell from this picture I used to use this product a lot ( sad times when you reach the palette). As I also seem to remember when you buy this it comes with some small tweezers and two application brushes however I wouldn't recommend using these brushes when applying the product. The left side is the darker shade and is more of a creamy thick texture like wax whereas the lighter shade on the right is more of a powder. I use the darker shade to shape my brows and the lighter to set them in place. This product is available to buy in three different shades but they do all give quite a dark defined outcome so if you don't want your eyebrows to stand out too much I wouldn't recommend this (especially if you have quite pale skin). The other downside I have found to this product is it has quite reddish undertones but they aren't that noticeable. The thing I love love love about this product is how long it lasts. It really does last a long time and stays in place so even after a stressful day at college/uni/work there really is little touch up needed for if you are going out again at night. It is on the slighter pricer side at £24 but it does offer a lot more precision, colour density and staying power than brow pencils.

                                   

 

Okay so out of everything I found out of my drawer this has to definitely be up near the top. This is the "Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick" in the shade 906- Neon Red.  Oh My Gosh. I have been loving this at the moment. Now that the dark reds and purples have been put away not only have I been bringing out my favourite nudey/pink shades but I've also got out my favourite bright reds i mean that's allowed isn't it? Apparently this collection is made with a honey nectar formula leaving your lips super nourished and soft. I can agree with that totally its really moisturising on the lips and leaves them feeling silky smooth.The lipstick has a really creamy texture and applies really easily  The pigmentation is also really high and the staying power is just as good. This is definitely a great drugstore alternative and just as good as my forever favourite MAC lipsticks. I more than recommend this and I really cannot wait to go out and try another shade because i forgot how much I loved this lipstick:) 

The start of something new..maybe?

Okay so after months/years of endlessly scrolling through thousands of blogs from beauty to lifestyle, one reoccurring post I have seen is whats called "someday summary".  Bloggers pick a day and for that day every week they will do a summary of their day from whats made them to smile to what they haven't stopped drinking all day. But rather than just picking one day and sticking to it i'm just randomly going to do one whenever I feel like it or this may not even become a regular thing, it all depends on whether you would like me to do this or not because you are the readers and I want to make sure my content makes you happy :) The reason i'm starting today is because well I have had something a little odd happen this morning but safe to say it made me laugh.

♥ I've been eating too much shreddies..it is by far the best cereal ever.
♥ This is when I insert the slightly weird event that occurred this morning just after I got up and when I was still moping around in my PJ's nothing new there;) okay so basically some 12 year old knocked on the door and said he was lost and needed to call his mum, so me being the nice person I am gave him my phone and told him to stand inside whilst he did because it was raining really heavy and after he was like I didn't call my mum, I called myself and now I have your number and ran out the door..., as bizarre as that was and how i'm now reluctant to answer any phone call and jump every time i get a text it somewhat lifted my mood onto the positive side.
♥ My boyfriend made me not only smile but laugh a lot today and I can't wait to see him tomorrow

Do you have any siblings? 

Yes, I have one 19 yr old sister. 

How old are you? 

I'm 16 & my birthday is on the 27th Feb, same as my mums!(just thought i'd share that). 

What's your height? 

5ft 2"  (I know i'm short)

What's your top/dress size? 

I'm an English size 6/8 

Do you workout/How do you stay so slim? 

This is going to sound terrible, but I don't really workout as such. I have an high metabolism hence making me slim and I play hockey three times a week until April when the season ends. I know many people who say to me "omg your so lucky" but i'd actually like to be a teeny bit bigger as finding clothes that fit me on the shoulders especially is somewhat impossible & i'm sure one day my metabolism will change, and i will put on loads of weight because of my current diet. ;) 

Do you have any pets? 

I have 4 ducks(Donald,Daisy,Pancake and Crispy).I also used to have a fish but that was eaten (not by a human) & i LOVED it. Pugs are my favorite . They're adorable. 

What do you feel is your greatest achievement? 

My greatest achievement? Hhmm (long pause).Getting my business grant. I think..

What did you take for your GCSE'S ?

I took Spanish , Textiles, Business studies & History (WHY??) 

What’s your favorite cereal?

I am obsessed with lucky charms!

Do you have any phobias? 

Blood. I have an extremely extreme phobia of it. Everybody who I am close with knows how bad it is. Even if it is the smallest cut in the world I am highly likely to faint or vomit. Not helped by the fact my sister is studying to be a nurse... I don't know why my phobia is so bad, I don't know  what brought on it but I can't even look at it. This also leads to panic attacks a lot of the time and increases my anxiety.

Have you ever had a near death experience? 

I really don't think i have. :( wait that's a good thing....A car nearly crashed in to us last year...that could be one? I don't really have a death wish so  I try to avoid the most dangerous high adrenaline activities. Boring I know!

Do you get mad easily? 

Yes I am really bad.Most of the time though its because i'm stressed and I get stressed way to quickly and rather than upset most of the time I get mad. oops

When was the last time you cried?

Here comes another one of my stupid ways...I cry at mostly everything. Films, Books,Songs,other people crying, everything. I am a really sensitive person and I think I have an overload of hormones because I cry at loads even animation films..well what can I say I'm an emotional wreck.

Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief. This works a treat because my skin gets dry very quickly.

I do this all the time. It  is a really bad habit, I take all the sachets too. They are there to be used though....

What movies could you watch over and over and still love?

 I’d rather spend my day watching YouTube videos, so Zoella, Pointless Blog or Tanya Burr.        Actually all the YouTubers. I love them all.
